Supported Independent Living

Supported Independent Living

Supported Independent Living (SIL) assists and supports NDIS participants to live as independently as possible.  Through assistance with daily life tasks and development with skills promoting independence, Supported Independent Living promotes choice and independence in a long-term home environment.

SIL is funded through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). If you are under age 65 and you have a disability you may be eligible for NDIS funding for SIL.

Our expert SIL team at Auscare Day Services can guide you on how to best access this funding via the NDIS and find an appropriate quality home to best suit your needs.

Supported Independent Living (SIL) covers assistance provided to a participant to live independently in the housing option of their choice. It does not cover day to day living expenses such as rent, food and activity costs. Auscare Day Services will work with you to develop a SIL quote for the NDIS.
